The Rock is a recurring enemy in the Ganbare Goemon series. It is a large boulder that rolls down a slope and crushes the player.

Description

A simple large boulder that falls rolling and bouncing down a slope from a high place, this usually being a mountain. Several of these rocks usually fall together, emulating a landslide coming down from high of a mountain. They cannot be destroyed, but other than that, they don't do much else, so just staying out of their way until they pass is often all the player has to do against these hazards.

• Falling Rocks have also appeared in the Contra series (also by Konami), looking and sometimes behaving almost identically (such as they do in Operation C), which could be a reference to the enemy from the Ganbare Goemon series.
